WEIGHINGMART, a brand of DIGIWEIGH PVT LTD, is committed to building a robust and compliant ecosystem of reliable, certified, and service-oriented vendors. To uphold our high standards of quality and compliance with Indian legal frameworks, we strictly onboard only verified vendors with appropriate licenses and certifications.
Eligibility & Requirements
We accept vendor applications only from entities that meet the following criteria, depending on whether you are a manufacturer or a dealer:
For Manufacturers:
- Possession of a valid Manufacturing License under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009.
- Each product must have a Model Approval Certificate issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India.
- Clear adherence to ISO standards or equivalent industry benchmarks for manufacturing processes.
- Willingness to provide warranty, service documentation, and post-sales support as per mutually agreed SLAs.
For Dealers/Distributors:
- Possession of a valid Dealer License issued under the Legal Metrology Act.
- Each product sold must carry an approved Model Approval Certificate.
- Authorization letter or agreement from the original manufacturer, if not a direct manufacturer.
- Capability to provide genuine warranty and guarantee services to customers.
Regulatory Compliance (India)
All vendors must adhere to relevant provisions of:
- The Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and associated rules.
- The Packaged Commodities Rules, 2011 for retail/label compliance.
- GST compliance with valid GSTIN and regular filing of returns.
- Product testing standards as per BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), if applicable.
Non-compliance or submission of forged documents will result in permanent blacklisting and legal action.
Warranty & Service Obligations
All vendors must define clear warranty and guarantee terms for the products listed. Warranty duration, coverage, and claim process must be documented and honored. We encourage vendors to include extended support packages and preventive maintenance options, where applicable.
Service commitments must align with customer expectations, and vendors must respond to service tickets within the timeframe mutually agreed during onboarding.
Mutual Agreements
Every vendor must enter into a formal agreement with WEIGHINGMART, specifying:
- Product categories, pricing structure, and volume commitments (if applicable).
- Warranty and post-sale service obligations.
- Dispute resolution, return policy, and refund protocols.
- Confidentiality and data protection terms for customer information.
All terms are documented and digitally signed during the vendor onboarding process.
Verification Process
Vendors are onboarded only after a thorough due diligence process including:
- Verification of submitted licenses and model approvals.
- Physical inspection (where applicable).
- Business background checks and financial capability analysis.
- Sample product quality check (mandatory for manufacturers).
